The Sound Burger, a portable record player, made its debut four decades ago. The updated model features Bluetooth capability and a rechargeable battery. Due to the high demand for the limited anniversary edition, the Sound Burger has secured a permanent spot in the Audio-Technica lineup, available in black, white, and yellow color options.

Audio-Technica has decided to add the red-colored Sound Burger, a limited edition released in 2022 to celebrate its 60th anniversary, to its permanent collection due to high demand from customers.
The Sound Burger is designed with portability in mind and comes in three colours. It combines retro aesthetics with modern features. It is essentially an affordable entry-level turntable, ideal for parties, picnics or small living spaces. It has Bluetooth connectivity, USB charging and up to twelve hours of listening time. There is also an AUX output for connecting to an amplifier or a pair of powered speakers.
According to the manufacturer, the Sound Burger is characterized by high-quality sound reproduction and has a belt drive that can spin records at 33 1/3 or 45 revolutions per minute. For greater portability and stability, the tonearm is equipped with a dynamic balance system, in which a spring exerts pressure on the needle. The DC motor ensures a stable rotation speed. This does not mean, however, that the user can walk around with the Sound Burger while a record is playing. The Sound Burger is not a Walkman or Discman or smartphone.
The vibration-damping platter is made of die-cast aluminum alloy and the record is sensed with a replaceable ATN3600L cartridge (available separately according to the Audio-Technica website).
