Sonus faber has revised its Olympica product line. More than ten years after its original debut, the Olympica G3 Collection reinterprets one of Sonus faber's most acclaimed product lines for a new generation of discerning listeners. The collection combines contemporary luxury, advanced acoustic engineering, and timeless Italian craftsmanship. The family currently consists of five members.

According to the manufacturer, the Olympica G3 series introduces significant improvements in both acoustics and design across all segments. Technologies derived from Sonus faber's flagship Suprema are combined with refined materials and artisanal finishes. The result is a new expression of Sonus faber's conviction that exceptional sound and beautiful design are inextricably linked.

Origin and legacy of the Olympica

The story of Olympica is deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of Vicenza, Italy, the home of Sonus faber and Andrea Palladio, one of the most influential architects of the Renaissance. Palladio's greatest masterpiece is the famous Teatro Olimpico, a theater known for its harmony of beauty, proportion, craftsmanship, and functionality. For Sonus faber, the design principles championed by Palladio have long been a source of inspiration and have contributed to the vision and design language that have characterized Olympica since its introduction in 2013.

With Olympica G3, Palladio's timeless principles of beauty, proportion, and craftsmanship are reimagined through modern materials and the latest acoustic technologies for Sonus faber; thus, past and future come together in a distinctly contemporary expression of luxury audio.

The Olympica G3 retains its unmistakable asymmetrical, lute-shaped silhouette and introduces a range of thoughtful refinements that elevate both form and function. A striking, handcrafted veneer of authentic wood with a 45-degree herringbone pattern, inspired by the brand's iconic Stradivari loudspeaker, highlights Sonus faber's mastery of woodworking, while precision-machined aluminium details add a new level of visual sophistication and contemporary elegance. Every material, surface, and contour is designed and crafted to create a loudspeaker that enriches both the listening experience and the living environment.

Beneath the handcrafted exterior, the Olympica G3 represents the most technologically advanced evolution of the collection to date. Building on innovations previously developed for Sonus faber's flagship Suprema, the Olympica G3 combines the heritage of Italian craftsmanship with advanced acoustic technology to offer greater transparency, realism, and a deeper emotional musical experience.

At the heart of the Olympica G3 is the Camelia midrange driver. Inspired by the geometry of the camellia flower, its distinctive design minimizes unwanted resonance while simultaneously delivering exceptional clarity, transparency, and a realistic reproduction of vocals. Crafted from fiber materials, the Camelia driver reflects Sonus faber's pursuit of the purest and most natural sound reproduction. The fabric surround refines the midrange driver's performance by improving speed, control, and linearity, bringing music to life with greater realism, nuance, and emotional expression.

The performance of the collection is further enhanced by a new organic speaker basket with a design inspired by the natural pattern of honeycombs. Inspired by the balance in nature's organic form and designed to maximize airflow while simultaneously offering exceptional mechanical stability. This, combined with a new advanced aluminium phase plug featuring new damping ring technology, reduces compression and air turbulence for greater dynamics and clarity.

The floor-standing Olympica III and Olympica V loudspeakers also use cork as damping material in the acoustic chamber for the mid- and high-frequency range to improve performance in this range. This minimizes unwanted resonances and reflections, resulting in higher resolution, pure sound, and lifelike reproduction.

Olympica I: a compact two-way monitor model that brings the signature Olympica sound to smaller spaces, while maintaining exceptional stereo reproduction, clarity, and emotional engagement.
Olympica Center: a specially designed three-way center speaker, developed for clear dialogue, seamless integration, and realistic cinematic reproduction in home theater systems.
Olympica Wall: A slim two-way wall speaker designed for flexible placement, immersive surround sound applications, and stylish integration into interiors.
