YG Acoustics has launched a new flagship loudspeaker aptly named Titan. The Titan is very large, very heavy, and very expensive, but that is not surprising for a non-plus-ultra loudspeaker. The Titan stands well over two meters tall and features a precisely positioned, symmetrical arrangement of seven drivers, supported by a specially designed subwoofer.

By their own account , the engineers at YG Acoustics dedicate themselves daily with passion and ingenuity to pushing the boundaries of sound reproduction. The laboratory is equipped with some of the world's most advanced measuring equipment for acoustics and vibrations. Thanks to advanced simulation technology and five years of detailed research into how the human ear perceives music, YG Acoustics can investigate new ideas and technologies faster and more thoroughly than ever before.
The new Ultimate series embodies this tireless spirit. After three years of dedicated development, the company proudly presents the Titan, the most ambitious loudspeaker YG Acoustics has ever made. Titan is designed not only to showcase our latest innovations, but also to connect listeners deeply and intimately with their music, exceed expectations, and create experiences filled with genuine emotion.

Drivers
The Titan loudspeaker stands over two meters tall and features a precisely positioned, symmetrical arrangement of seven drivers, supported by a specially designed subwoofer. The revolutionary proprietary grid tweeter is supported by patented 15 cm YG midrange drivers with an aluminum cone, an 18 cm midbass driver, and a 26 cm bass driver, each positioned in a pair above and below the tweeter. Simulations and extensive listening tests have demonstrated the extraordinary benefits of a carefully designed symmetrical arrangement. This configuration is supported by a custom-made 32 cm YG subbass driver with an aluminum cone and a solid magnet structure. Each driver is precisely phase-aligned with its neighbors across a wide frequency range, guaranteeing an authentic point-source listening experience.
This approach offers exceptional sound quality, realistic reproduction, and a remarkably flexible listening environment, placing the listener at the center of the music, whether in whisper mode or at concert volume.
Large and heavy enclosure
The Titan's enclosure is a further illustration of the manufacturer's self-proclaimed obsessive attention to detail. With a five-layer construction—that is, three layers of special aluminum alloys, each separated by precisely designed damping materials—the cabinet achieves extraordinary rigidity and resonance control. The front panels are crafted from solid, 75 mm thick aerospace-grade aluminum, heat-treated to optimize their crystalline structure and then precision-machined to a tolerance of a thousandth of a millimeter. Internally, advanced bracing, composite resin damping, and strategically placed, computer-optimized diffuser/absorber structures ensure that the drivers perform flawlessly. The cabinet weighs over 450 kilograms, so positioning and moving it is quite a challenge.

The design of the crossover is a true testament to the art and science of loudspeaker engineering. It is built with the very best available components on a specially developed multilayer printed circuit board material featuring advanced dielectric properties and internal resonance damping. Each crossover circuit is precision-milled in-house from extra-thick, very pure copper, with the traces optimized through simulation to eliminate interference and distortion. The crossover itself is externally housed in an elegant enclosure manufactured entirely from a specially selected polymer material, preventing any field interaction with the crossover signal.

Apart from the technical perfection, the true value of Titan is the profound impression it makes. Every innovation, every precise processing step, every carefully selected component – these are merely means to an end: the purest, most immersive musical experience imaginable.

YG Acoustics Titan: three different versions
- Titan Passive: a fully passive five-way loudspeaker configuration with eight drivers and an external crossover, suitable for one to five amplification channels per loudspeaker.
- Titan Active Sub: combines a fully passive four-way system with a dedicated external 1 kW amplifier for sub-bass frequencies, carefully phase- and time-tuned to blend seamlessly with the passive drivers, and supports one to four amplification channels per speaker.
- Titan Live: a fully integrated audio solution, where each channel is equipped with an external audiophile amplifier and an advanced DSP crossover, all connected to the Live Controller via fiber optics. This offers Roon-Ready streaming combined with extensive digital and analog connectivity.
We can report that we have seen prices listed, depending on the version, between approximately 900,000 and 1,000,000 dollars.
Oh yes, reportedly there is also a gilded version available that will cost approximately 2 million dollars, depending on the thickness of the applied gold layer. Isn't that beautiful?
