American audio manufacturer KLH Audio has expanded its acclaimed Model Collection with the introduction of the new KLH Model Four. Positioned between the popular Model Three and Model Five, the Model Four is designed for music lovers who want the performance of a full-sized three-way speaker in a slimmer, more placement-friendly floorstanding format.
A Blend of KLH’s Best Technologies
The new Model Four combines proven technologies from several of KLH's most successful loudspeakers. It utilizes the 8-inch woofer found in the Model Three while borrowing the midrange driver, tweeter, and crossover architecture from the larger Model Five.
KLH has also drawn inspiration from its flagship Model Seven, giving the Model Four a wide front baffle and shallow cabinet depth. The result is a speaker that retains the classic visual identity of the brand while offering greater flexibility in real-world listening environments.

Designed for Rooms Where Space Matters
Unlike many modern floorstanders that require significant breathing room, the Model Four has been engineered specifically for apartments, lofts, and living rooms where speaker placement options may be limited.
Its sealed acoustic-suspension enclosure helps maintain tight, controlled bass performance even when positioned closer to rear walls or room corners. This design philosophy has long been a hallmark of KLH speakers and remains one of the key advantages of the Model Four.
The cabinet measures just 13 inches wide and 8.25 inches deep, making it the shallowest model currently available in KLH's Model Collection. When mounted on the included 6-degree angled stand, overall depth increases to approximately 11 inches.

Full Three-Way Performance
Despite its compact footprint, the Model Four remains a genuine three-way loudspeaker.
The driver complement includes:
- 8-inch pulp-and-paper cone woofer
- 4-inch pulp-and-paper cone midrange driver
- 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter
KLH specifies a frequency response of 46Hz to 20kHz (±3dB), while bass extension reaches down to 35Hz at -10dB. This should provide listeners with impressive low-frequency presence without requiring an oversized cabinet.
Room-Tuning Features Included
To help optimize performance in different listening spaces, the Model Four incorporates KLH's Acoustic Balance Control system. A three-position switch allows users to fine-tune midrange and treble output according to room acoustics and personal preference.
Additional premium touches include:
- Gold-plated five-way binding posts
- Magnetically attached grilles
- Included angled speaker stands
- Multiple real-wood-inspired finish options

The KLH Model Four will be available in three finishes:
- English Walnut
- Black Ash

Availability is scheduled for September 2026. Pricing is set at $999.99 USD / €999 per speaker, with the dedicated KLH stand included in the package.
