Deco Audio TRANSFER Standard: Inexpensive tube DAC from the UK

The British company Deco Audio Products announced the release of the Deco Audio TRANSFER Standard tube DAC . The analog part of the new product is implemented on two double triodes ECC82 and ECC83.

Deco Audio said: “After much listening and experimentation over the years, we have found that how you process a digital audio signal is much more important to sound quality than the technical parameters of the digital bitstream. For us, nothing beats the sound of a multibit DAC with the right wiring, so the heart of our Deco Audio TRANSFER Standard DAC is the classic TDA1543 chip, a simple R2R DAC that is used without oversampling . “

A rich switching arsenal allows the DAC to be used with a wide range of sources. Digital inputs include four coaxial S/PDIF, one optical Toslink and one USB-B. The Deco Audio TRANSFER Standard is housed in a neat half-width aluminum body with an acrylic front panel, decorated with a round window through which you can watch the magical glow of the lamps. The component is equipped with a linear power supply with a powerful toroidal transformer. Deco Audio claims that they carefully selected all components to find the golden mean between quality and cost.
