Voxativ Streamer Combines Dual ESS DACs With High-Resolution Playback

Berlin-based Voxativ has announced a new network player designed to bring high-resolution playback and widely used streaming platforms into a single German-made component. The Voxativ Streamer combines two ESS ES9038PRO DAC chips with femto clocking, dedicated linear power supplies and a fully balanced analog output stage.

Dual ESS converters anchor the digital design

At the center of the Voxativ Streamer are two ESS ES9038PRO digital-to-analog converter chips. The network player also uses femto clocking, an approach intended to provide precise timing as the digital signal moves through the conversion process.

Voxativ has equipped each channel with a separate linear power supply. The signal then passes through a fully balanced analog output stage. Together, these elements establish a dual-channel architecture that gives the power supply and analog sections a prominent role alongside the DAC hardware.

The manufacturer describes the design as an uncompromising approach to digital music reproduction and claims that it delivers clarity, naturalness and depth. No measurements or further details about the internal circuitry have been disclosed, so the announced architecture remains the main technical focus at this stage.

High-resolution PCM and DSD playback

Format support extends to PCM audio at resolutions of up to 32-bit/768kHz. The Voxativ Streamer also supports DSD, although the company has not specified the maximum supported DSD rate.

That combination places high-resolution local or network-based playback alongside the product’s integrated streaming functions. Voxativ has not yet provided further information about file compatibility, network protocols, storage options or input and output connections. Consequently, prospective buyers will need to wait for the complete specification before assessing how the player will fit into a particular system.

Roon, AirPlay 2 and direct streaming support

The Voxativ Streamer is Roon Ready, allowing it to operate as an endpoint within a Roon-based music system. AirPlay 2 is also included for playback from compatible Apple devices and applications.

Direct platform integration covers Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, enabling their respective apps to control playback through the network player. Qobuz support is listed as well, though Voxativ has not yet detailed how that service will be accessed or controlled.

This mix of Roon, AirPlay 2 and service-specific streaming gives the player several routes to digital music without tying operation to a single ecosystem. Details about the control interface or any dedicated Voxativ application have not been announced.

Designed and built by hand in Germany

Voxativ designs the Streamer in Germany and says each unit is also handmade there. That production approach connects the new digital component with the Berlin manufacturer’s German base while introducing a network player built around current streaming standards and high-resolution conversion.

The company says deliveries will begin soon but has not provided a specific date. Pricing has not been announced, and there is no confirmed information yet about regional availability, finish options or included accessories.
