Monitor Audio has introduced the Silver Series 8G, an extensively revised seven-model speaker range designed to cover conventional stereo systems, multichannel home theaters and Dolby Atmos installations. The eighth-generation lineup brings updated drivers, crossover networks, cabinet bracing and bass-port engineering to one of the British company’s established speaker families.
Seven models for stereo and home theater
The Silver Series 8G lineup begins with two floorstanding speakers. The Silver 500 8G is the largest model, using a three-way configuration with two 8-inch C-CAM RST III bass drivers, a 3-inch midrange driver and a 25mm C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter. The smaller Silver 300 8G retains the three-way arrangement but employs two 6-inch bass drivers.
Two stand-mount options complete the core stereo selection. The three-way Silver 100 8G combines an 8-inch mid-bass driver with a dedicated 3-inch midrange unit and Gold Dome tweeter. The more compact Silver 50 8G is a two-way design built around a 6-inch mid-bass driver and the same tweeter technology.
For multichannel systems, Monitor Audio offers the three-way Silver Centre 8G, the wall-mountable Silver On-Wall 8G and the Silver AMS 8G upfiring speaker. The On-Wall model can serve in discreet stereo, surround or home theater installations, while the AMS is intended to add height information to compatible Dolby Atmos systems. There is no dedicated Silver Series 8G subwoofer, although the speakers can be combined with Monitor Audio’s Vestra subwoofers or alternatives from other manufacturers.

Reworked C-CAM drivers and Gold Dome tweeter
Every model uses Monitor Audio’s Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium driver technology. For this generation, the company has applied its latest RST III cone geometry, which is engineered to increase rigidity and suppress unwanted resonances. The intended result is more controlled movement and greater accuracy across the operating range.
The C-CAM Gold Dome tweeter has also been revised. Its design incorporates an optimized vented rear chamber, a new shorting ring and Monitor Audio’s UD Waveguide II. These changes are intended to improve treble consistency and dispersion while supporting smoother integration with the midrange or mid-bass drivers.
New crossover networks have been developed for the 8G range. Monitor Audio says the revised circuits provide more precise signal division between the drivers, with lower coloration and a cleaner signal path. Each crossover is tailored to the relevant two-way or three-way configuration.

Silent Flow ports and reinforced cabinets
Ported Silver Series 8G models introduce Monitor Audio’s Silent Flow technology. Inspired by the overlapping wing feathers of an owl, the design combines a larger port diameter with revised flare geometry to guide air more smoothly. Reducing turbulence is intended to support cleaner and more controlled low-frequency reproduction. The Silver Centre 8G and Silver AMS 8G instead use sealed enclosures.
Through-bolt driver bracing secures the drive units to the rear of each cabinet at a specified torque. This construction method strengthens the connection between the drivers and enclosure while seeking to reduce chassis resonances.
The floorstanding models receive new outrigger feet influenced by the company’s Platinum Series 3G. A top-adjustment mechanism allows leveling after installation, while integrated rubber feet can replace the spikes when the speakers are placed on hard flooring.
Available finishes are Satin White, High Gloss Black and European Walnut. The walnut option uses real engineered wood made from layers of sustainably sourced timber, providing consistent grain and color without depending on rare wood species.

US pricing and expected availability
Monitor Audio expects the Silver Series 8G to become available through authorized dealers and installers beginning sometime in August 2026. The Silver 500 8G is priced at $3,300 per pair, while the Silver 300 8G costs $2,600 per pair.
The Silver 100 8G carries a price of $2,000 per pair, and the Silver 50 8G is $1,050 per pair. Home theater models include the Silver On-Wall 8G at $575 each and the Silver Centre 8G at $1,050 each. The Silver AMS 8G is priced at $1,200 per pair.
With four conventional stereo speakers and three installation-focused home theater models, the Silver Series 8G gives buyers a common design platform for systems ranging from compact two-channel setups to larger Dolby Atmos rooms. Its changes extend beyond appearance, encompassing the drivers, tweeter, crossovers, ports, bracing and floorstanding hardware.
