The two streamers in Ideon Audio’s range, the Absolute Stream and the EOS Stream, now have a Roon Core and a 4 terabyte SSD integrated.
According to Ideon Audio, the display of the EOS Stream device was too bright for some music fans. The manufacturer now offers the option of setting the display brightness to normal or low brightness. If desired, the display can also be turned off completely.
Level adjustment on the EOS DAC
The EOS DAC is designed to combine high-end standards with affordability. Not every amplifier can handle its original very high analog output level. The EOS DAC now offers the option of a high and normal output level in order to adapt to different amplifier inputs and to better exploit the potential of both the DAC and amplifier. In high-level operation, according to the manufacturer, it delivers 4.4 Vrms at 0 dB, while the normal level is 2.2 Vrms at 0 dB. This can be adjusted as standard using a switch on the back of the EOS DAC.
New Electra LAN cable
Last but not least, Ideon Audio is launching the new Electra LAN cable; it is manufactured entirely in-house from eight individual conductors of silver-plated copper wire. The use of organic material for shielding is intended to contribute to higher sound performance. Electra is available in lengths of 1 and 1.5 meters.
