The Rekkord Audio F400 features a solid MDF chassis, which offers excellent vibration resistance. For additional damping, the tonearm and platter are mounted on a sub-chassis with floating suspension. The chassis is available in four finishes: matte black, lacquer, or natural wood veneer (cherry or macassar). The turntable sits on sturdy feet.

The Rekkord Audio F400 includes a damping anti-static mat to protect the record from vibration. The turntable’s tonearm features a straight aluminum tube with a carbon-reinforced polymer headshell. The model comes pre-installed with an Ortofon 2M Red MM cartridge, which features an elliptical-ground diamond stylus and delivers true hi-fi sound. The Rekkord Audio F400 is designed for connection to an external phono preamp, which is easy to select thanks to its generous 5.5 mV output.

The turntable’s automatic tonearm control allows you to begin listening to a record simply by sliding the switch on the top panel to the Play position. The mechanism automatically advances the cartridge to the beginning of the record and lowers the stylus onto the introductory groove before the first track. At the end of the side, the tonearm rises and returns to the holder. This significantly extends the life of the stylus. If desired, the Rekkord Audio F400 can also be controlled manually. The model features electronic speed control for 33 1/3, 45, or 78 rpm.
