The Bremen SL1 Plus from Chinese manufacturer Silent Angel builds on the success of the B1 and B2 models with exceptional media processing, sound quality and compatibility. Designed for music lovers, the SL1 Plus combines affordability with seamless streaming via UTP cable or WiFi for broad access to immersive listening experiences, according to the manufacturer.

The SL1 Plus is controlled via the factory-installed VitOS Orbiter app and offers access to popular streaming services such as Qobuz, Tidal Connect, Spotify Connect, as well as support for DLNA and Airplay2, internet radio and Bluetooth. MQA decoding is also possible. Digital music signal may be supplied up to a resolution of 24-bit/192 kHz.
Analog music signal comes out via XLR and cinch. The user can also bypass the built-in DA converter by connecting a DA converter to the coaxial, optical or USB audio outputs. Connection to a network can be done with a UTP cable (RJ45) or wirelessly via WiFi. The manufacturer promises minimal latency, while the wired connection offers superior resistance to interference and guarantees lossless audio within the network.
The SL1 Plus is equipped with an energy-efficient, hi-fi-quality motherboard with a six-core CPU and the self-developed VitOS operating system. This ensures that hardware and software are perfectly integrated and the device delivers optimum audio performance.
A thick copper layer on the core PCB and SSD section ensures efficient heat dissipation and long-term stability. Advanced EMI shielding further reduces electromagnetic interference for higher sound quality. The dedicated DAC PCB is housed in an aluminum case that effectively separates analog and digital circuits to minimize noise from the power supply and digital circuit module.
