Housed in a sleek aluminum chassis with a black anodized finish, the device features upper and lower panels crafted from MDF and adorned with natural wood veneer. Its retro design highlights its connection to the esteemed historical series of Klipsch models. The controls, made from copper, consist of mechanical switches and a volume regulator, with relay-based switching strategically positioned to reduce signal path length.

The amplifier utilizes a 32-bit ESS DAC featuring HyperStream technology, capable of processing digital signals with specifications up to 24 bit / 192 kHz (PCM) and DSD rates of 2.8 / 5.6 / 11.2 MHz. The Klipsch Heritage Headphone Amplifier includes a USB input through an XMOS interface, along with optical, coaxial, and analog inputs. Its headphone amplifier circuit is designed with two specialized microchips, allowing for a four-channel configuration that supports both standard and balanced connections.

Consequently, the front panel is equipped with two headphone jacks: a 6.3 mm Jack and an XLR connector. Additionally, the Klipsch Heritage Headphone Amplifier features an RCA analog output that can function in either fixed or adjustable signal level modes, enabling direct connections to power amplifiers or active speakers.
