The player’s amplifier stage is powered by a pair of THX AAA-78 chips. They use error correction technology for detailed reproduction and a large sound stage.
This DAP integrates three independent power supplies to provide large power reserves for various circuits and offer stable power coupled with good dynamic range. Heat dissipation has also been optimized through numerous measures to ensure maximum stability and durability.
The unique M11 Plus ESS smart volume system uses a volume control in combination with a touch screen to accurately and conveniently adjust volume levels.
FiiO DAP supports very high resolution files. So, it is compatible with DSD up to DSD256, and also allows MQA 8x decoding. The latter format allows you to reproduce sound as close as possible to the quality of the original recordings, with a limited file size.
The digital-to-analog conversion stage of the M11 Plus ESS is carried out by two ESS ES9068AS DAC chips. They deliver rich, natural and accurate sound while supporting high resolutions up to 32-bit 768 kHz and DSD512.
For this DAP, FiiO has developed its own 4th generation FPGA, integrating DAPS (Digital Audio Purification System) technology into it. This FPGA works in conjunction with 2 NDK custom clocks for maximum accuracy and extremely low jitter.
FiiO has done a lot of work on the design of its Walkman. Marked by a modern geometric aesthetic, it is also optimized for intuitive use, with every button easily accessible at all times.
The M11 Plus ESS provides 3 selectable gain levels. Each gain level has 120 levels of adjustable volume. This setup allows the DAP to be used with most headphones on the market, whether high impedance or very sensitive in-ear monitors.
With a 6000mAh battery supporting Quick Charge QC2.0/3.0/4.0 and USB-PD technology for fast charging, the M11 Plus ESS can accompany you all day, on the road or at home. The DAP can be used for 11.5 hours continuously and has a standby life of 41 days.
For fast and efficient processing, M11 Plus ESS uses an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor to ensure smooth performance no matter the usage. Additionally, this model offers low power consumption for long battery life.
The M11 Plus ESS (sometimes called the M11 Plus ESS II) features a new internal architecture based on modular designs. Each circuit module has its own shielding to ensure perfect separation of each section. This design ensures that each part does not interfere with the others, ensuring minimal noise levels.
It is especially convenient that for wireless use the player takes advantage of bi-directional Bluetooth and WiFi reception with support for DLNA and AirPlay. The Bluetooth 5.0 chip also supports aptX HD and LDAC transmission codecs for high-quality playback.
