NuPrime has launched the IDA-9 integrated amplifier, a compact yet powerful amplifier with an analog RCA input and digital inputs. This small amplifier is capable of delivering 150 watts per channel into eight ohms and comes in black and white.
NuPrime IDA-9

With the new NuPrime IDA-9, the manufacturer presents a compact integrated amplifier with a built-in digital-to-analog converter, based on the successful IDA-8. According to the designers, the IDA-9 achieves a new level of performance. The IDA-9 retains the room-filling, transparent, and detailed sound of its predecessor, but doubles the output power (RMS) with virtually identical dimensions.
The amplifier combines a hybrid Class A+D design with modern GaN technology. According to the manufacturer, a GaN switching power supply with “GaN Power Factor Correction” ensures higher efficiency and reduced distortion. The specified output power is 150 watts per channel into eight ohms, while the measured THD+N value (distortion) is only 0.0005 percent.

Inside, it features an AKM DA chip capable of processing PCM signals up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD256. Digital connectivity includes optical and coaxial S/PDIF inputs, as well as a USB Type-B connector. Functions are complemented by a line-level input, a line-level output (for example, for a subwoofer), and an expansion port for Bluetooth or streaming modules.
Measuring just 235 x 281 x 55 millimeters (W x D x H), and weighing four kilograms, the IDA-9 can be installed virtually anywhere. The specified frequency range is 10 Hz to 50 kHz.
The suggested retail price is €1,549 and the IDA-9 is available in black and white.
