Meet the Dual turntable in a completely new design that lays the foundation for the new Dual turntable series. The company’s main goal was to develop a manual turntable based on the high-quality Dual tonearm, combining a heavy chassis with a floating sub-chassis, in a modern design. Despite the “slim” design of the Dual CS 800, the chassis has the necessary weight to absorb any impact noise and vibrations coming from the outside, which ensures perfect tracking of the record.
The aluminium sub-chassis floats on four special parabolic springs and is thus decoupled from the main chassis, providing additional protection from external interference. Three damped aluminium feet, combined with the cardanic tonearm bearing, simplify the alignment process of the turntable, ensuring trouble-free installation.
The tonearm is also taken to the next level with new Dual E (asymotion) wiring and an improved bearing. It also uses high-precision anti-skating and tracking force systems. The electronically controlled DC motor is controlled by a newly developed touch switch, in which the current speed setting is indicated by an LED.
With the CS 800, Dual is not only taking a new direction in design. Thanks to technical improvements, the sound quality has also risen to a new level. The sound characteristics are much better than before, the nuances in recordings are better audible. Voices and musical instruments sound even more natural. But please listen and see for yourself.
