WiiM Sound: Design and Concept

With the WiiM Sound, the manufacturer presents a compact smart speaker with high-resolution audio, multi-room functionality, and automatic room calibration. The WiiM Sound has a compact and functional design. The device measures 146 x 146 x 193 millimeters, weighs approximately 2.5 kilograms, and is available in black and white. A 1.8-inch touchscreen on the front displays album art, the time, and equalizer settings. Playback, volume, and input can be controlled directly from the display, even without the app. Included in the package is the WiiM Voice Remote 2 Lite, which offers additional control options and presets.
WiiM Sound: Technology

The WiiM Sound features a 4-inch long-throw woofer and two 1-inch silk dome tweeters, making it a two-way system. Its total output is 100 watts peak power. With the AI RoomFit Auto Tuning feature, the speaker analyzes the room using integrated microphones and a smartphone and automatically adjusts the frequency response. This is designed to achieve balanced sound reproduction in various setups.
Digital music signals can be delivered up to a resolution of 24-bit/192 kHz, and gapless playback is supported. The driver architecture utilizes dedicated amplification stages and digital signal processing for clear, low-distortion reproduction across the entire frequency range.

WiiM Sound: Streaming and Multiroom
As part of the WiiM ecosystem, the speaker supports over twenty music services, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, Deezer, and Amazon Music. It’s also Roon-ready and compatible with Chromecast, AirPlay 2, and DLNA.
Multiple WiiM devices can be connected via the WiiM Home app to create a synchronized multi-room system. Two WiiM Sound Speakers can also be used in stereo or integrated into a Dolby 5.1 setup.

WiiM Sound: Connectivity and Control
Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 (LE Audio) are available for wireless connectivity. The Bluetooth speaker also features an Ethernet port and a 3.5mm auxiliary input for external sources.
Operation is flexible: via the touch screen, the app, voice commands via Alexa or Google Assistant or with the included remote control.
The suggested retail price of the WiiM Sound is just under $350 and shipping is expected to begin around mid-November.
