Sonoro, based in Germany, started out building tabletop radios. Sonoro has steadily expanded and deepened its product range. The company still builds tabletop radios but also offers a wide selection of individual hi-fi components.

Sonoro’s latest loudspeaker is the floorstanding Orchestra Shaped Signature. According to the manufacturer, it’s a carefully crafted designer loudspeaker that meets audiophile standards yet remains affordable.

The driver array consists of two woofers, one midrange driver, and one Air Motion Transformer (AMT). Combined with the tapered baffle, which the company claims allows for precise reproduction of the individual drivers, this speaker delivers impressive sound. With a new crossover, optimized drivers, and other refinements from Team Fink, the Orchestra Shaped Signature is said to offer improved dispersion characteristics, a voluminous bass response, better resolution across the entire frequency range, and minimal distortion.

The Orchestra Shaped Signature is not only the most sonorous, but also the slimmest floorstanding loudspeaker Sonoro has ever developed. Sonoro has remained faithful to the hand-polished cabinet with rounded corners and a matte finish. The redesigned front panel of the AMT offers not only sonic but also visual highlights, which are echoed in the other details.

Sonoro offers a frequency response of 35 Hz to 24 kHz at a -6 dB level. The crossover frequencies are 300 Hz and 2.7 kHz. Sensitivity is 88 dB (2.83 volts/1 meter). The Orchestra Shaped Signature has a nominal impedance of four ohms with a minimum of 3.6 ohms at 37 Hz. Dimensions are 280 x 1041 x 350 millimeters (W x H x D) including feet, and the speaker weighs 23.8 kilograms.

Sonoro will be able to supply the Orchestra Shaped Signature in black and white. Deliveries will begin on November 25, 2025.
