MartinLogan has launched the Dynamo Foundation series of powered subwoofers, which consists of two models featuring 10-inch and 12-inch drivers. These subwoofers are equipped with a 200 MHz DSP processor that utilizes 56-bit processing. The 10-inch model is powered by the MartinLogan Magnitude 400 amplifier, while the 12-inch version is driven by the Magnitude 700 amplifier, delivering peak power outputs of 400 watts and 700 watts, respectively. Additionally, the subwoofers are designed with specially crafted 10-inch or 12-inch drivers that incorporate ultra-rigid polypropylene (URP) cones.
The MartinLogan Dynamo Foundation subwoofers feature a compact design, with the speaker mounted on the bottom wall of the cabinet and directed towards the floor. The subwoofer is equipped with an LFE input and a stereo input on RCA connectors. Additionally, the MartinLogan Dynamo Foundation supports the optional MartinLogan WSK-1 wireless adapter, providing a convenient and simplified installation process.
MartinLogan Dynamo Foundation powered subwoofers come in a sleek matte black vinyl finish complemented by a glossy top panel. The 10-inch driver version is currently on the market with a recommended retail price of $499.99. The larger 12-inch driver subwoofer is set to hit stores in early September, priced at $699.99. For those looking to go wireless, the optional MartinLogan WSK-1 wireless subwoofer kit is available for $99.99.
