Canton has launched the Smart Libero, a small black or white speaker that, according to the designers, is primarily intended to complement the Canton Smart Soundbars. The Smart Libero has a sleek design without any decorative elements and seems to be designed to be discreet.
Perhaps the most striking feature of the Smart Libero is its understated, understated design. Thanks to its (almost) entirely fabric covering, the speaker seems to want to blend in. Its WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) is high, but let’s be honest, it’s not just women who appreciate understated speakers. It’s about the sound, not the speaker’s appearance.
As is typical of Canton, the glass top and bottom make cleaning much easier. The Canton Smart Libero can also be wall-mounted if desired, which is why the fabric covering on the back doesn’t extend all the way. Its 700-gram weight also makes choosing the right wall anchors much easier.
Inside, it houses a two-way system consisting of a 78mm cellulose-graphite midrange/woofer and a 25mm soft-dome tweeter, with a maximum system power of 70 watts. The Libero is designed to complement all Canton Smart Soundbars, the Smart Connect 5.1, and the Smart Amp 5.1. No signal cables are required. The Smart Libero receives its music signal wirelessly. However, a power supply is still required, as there is no battery. That would also be impractical for a wall-mounted speaker.
The Canton Smart Libero costs €389 per pair and buyers can choose between a black and white version.
