Vinnie Rossi has announced the Canta Integrated, the second component in its developing Canta series. The all-analog integrated amplifier combines a Class A tube preamplifier with MOSFET output stages and provides four line-level inputs alongside system-integration features.
A hybrid tube and MOSFET architecture
At the heart of the Canta Integrated is a hybrid amplification design that assigns different roles to tubes and solid-state devices. Its Class A preamplifier uses one 6SN7 triode per channel exclusively for voltage gain, placing the tube stage near the beginning of the signal path.
According to Vinnie Rossi, the preamplifier employs a short and direct circuit intended to preserve the tube’s natural character, spatial presentation and musical expression. Current delivery is handled separately by the MOSFET power-amplifier section, allowing the integrated design to combine triode voltage amplification with considerably greater loudspeaker-driving capability.
The output stage is rated at 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms, rising to 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms. A switch-mode power supply designed for low-noise audio applications supports the amplifier circuitry. The company also says the internal arrangement minimizes the length of signal and power paths.

Precision volume and input-level controls
Volume is managed by a 100-step resistor-ladder system rather than a conventional potentiometer. The amplifier can also retain individual settings for each of its four analog inputs, giving owners the ability to account for differing output levels among connected source components.
For every input, users can store a low, medium or high gain setting. One of 12 balance positions can also be saved independently. These adjustments are intended to make switching between sources more consistent without requiring the listener to repeatedly restore preferred gain and channel-balance values.
A Home Theater Bypass mode is included for installations in which the Canta Integrated shares its power-amplifier section and connected front speakers with a separate home-cinema system. In that configuration, volume control for the bypassed signal can be assigned to the associated surround processor or receiver.

Four analog inputs and a solid-aluminum chassis
The Canta Integrated is deliberately focused on analog sources. Its four line-level inputs include balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA connections, with no digital input section specified. That approach positions the amplifier as a central control and power component for owners using separate source equipment.
Its enclosure is precision-machined from a solid block of aluminum. Beyond its structural role, the chassis has been designed to contribute to thermal management, electromagnetic shielding and resonance control. The amplifier’s interface also provides access to its source-specific gain, balance and system settings.

The Canta range continues to grow
The new integrated amplifier joins the existing Canta phono preamplifier as the second model in the series. Vinnie Rossi has also confirmed plans for a Canta line preamplifier and a Canta stereo power amplifier, which will broaden the range for systems built around separate components.
The Canta Integrated is designed and manufactured in the United States and carries a ten-year warranty. Deliveries are expected to begin in late October. Pricing for the Benelux market had not been announced at the time of the product disclosure.
With its Class A 6SN7 front end, MOSFET output stage and source-specific control settings, the Canta Integrated brings Vinnie Rossi’s hybrid amplification concept to a single-chassis analog amplifier. It also establishes the core integrated option within a Canta lineup that is set to expand with dedicated preamplifier and power-amplifier models.
