The Shanling ONIX Zenith XDA20 is a new DAC and headphone amplifier that combines the signature style of the ONIX series with modern circuit design and a sophisticated power supply architecture. The device is built on two flagship ES9039Pro chips with Shanling’s proprietary Brighton I/V conversion circuitry, ensuring accurate and natural processing of high-resolution PCM and DSD signals. The amplifier stage is based on the TPA6120 and delivers up to 1620 mW at 32 ohms, allowing the XDA20 to be used even with demanding full-size headphones.
The enclosure is crafted from a single block of CNC-machined aluminum and features the signature black and gold color scheme of the ONIX line. The front panel features a 3.4-inch touchscreen and a convenient control wheel, and a remote control is included.
The XDA20 supports all current formats up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM and DSD512, offering flexible preamp, line, and amplifier modes. A variety of interfaces are available for integration into various systems: from I2S (HDMI) and USB-B to AES/EBU, BNC, coaxial, and optical inputs, as well as balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs. The power supply uses two Talema transformers with large capacitors for stable and low-noise operation.
