Less than a year has passed since the Swedish company Moonriver Audio first announced a hybrid phono stage with the index 505 , and now the new product goes on sale. According to the manufacturer, the Moonriver Audio 505 phono preamplifier was “designed for audiophiles, record collectors and music lovers . ”
The Moonriver 505 phono stage is the result of over two years of research and development. It is equipped with four cartridge inputs, which means it can support up to four turntables, or up to four tonearms on one turntable. The phono stage allows you to adjust the input parameters using knobs on the front panel to perfectly match the characteristics of MC or MM cartridges, as well as the equalizer curve for records with a speed of 78 rpm. Settings for each input are saved in the device memory.
Moonriver 505
The Moonriver 505 phono preamplifier features a low-noise solid-state hybrid circuit in a dual mono concept. The component is equipped with six separate power supplies with a filter with a total capacity of 70,000 μF. The side panels of the case, traditionally for the company’s products, are trimmed with natural wood.
The Moonriver 505 hybrid phono stage is now on sale at a recommended retail price of €4,990 .
