With the Element S , Matrix Audio introduces a superb, versatile, practical and powerful streamer that will allow you to introduce your HiFi system into the world of audio streaming. It features rich connectivity for easy integration and powerful wireless connectivity for efficient audio transmission. It is also the first Matrix Audio network player to feature USB DAC outputs.
The MA Player software architecture, a true high-quality digital audio playback and management system, was specifically developed by Matrix Audio for its streamers. With MA Player, you can control network-connected Matrix Audio devices directly from your smartphone or tablet and browse your music library with ease. Moreover, MA Player supports DLNA/UPnP, AirPlay2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Roon network protocols (currently undergoing certification tests) for streaming high-resolution audio over a local network.
The free MA Remote mobile app is available for iOS and Android devices. With it, you can browse and play music from your local music library or enjoy many streaming services and web radio stations. The app also allows you to update the Matrix Audio Element S.
Element S features a high-resolution 3.46-inch touchscreen and an ergonomic user interface for easy operation. In addition, when you play a song, its metadata is displayed, including cover art and album title, as well as track title and artist name.
The Matrix Audio Element S USB digital audio interface delivers high-resolution PCM and DSD audio data to other audio devices. DACs with USB input can be connected to the Element S, allowing you to take advantage of Element S streaming audio into your existing audio system. In addition, the USB interface has a very low noise 5V 1A power output. It is processed by low noise multi-stage linear regulator and filter circuit to ensure the best performance.
Element S is equipped with two Accusilicon ultra-low phase noise femtosecond clocks operating at frequencies of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz and multiples thereof. The FPGA coordinates the clocks and controls the frequencies. Element S provides high quality audio with very low jitter.
The Element S features an RJ45 Ethernet port and WiFi connectivity. Gigabit Ethernet provides high stability and transmission speed for high-definition streams. If you have good 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi coverage, you can also enjoy an easy network connection without additional cables.
