Kiwi Ears has released a new DAC and headphone amplifier based on the ES9028Q2M chip and with two Allegro outputs . The model received an interesting design in the style of a gamepad.
High-quality DAC chip
At the heart of the Allegro is the ES9028Q2M DAC chip, renowned for its high signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion for unparalleled audio purity. This chip converts digital signals into realistic sound, making it ideal for high-resolution audio playback.
Dual Outputs
The Allegro has two output options: single-ended 3.5mm and balanced 4.4mm. The balanced output provides a wider soundstage and superior channel separation, ideal for professional-grade headphones, while the single-ended output ensures compatibility with a wide range of audio devices.
Wide support for high-resolution audio
The device supports PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD up to DSD256. Thanks to such wide format support, users can listen to their favorite tracks in the best quality, preserving all the details and dynamics of the original recording.
Universal Connectivity
Thanks to the USB Type-C interface, Allegro is compatible with most modern Android devices (version 5.1 and above), providing easy connection and operation. This universal compatibility makes it a versatile choice for a variety of users.
Optimal Audio Performance
The Allegro boasts an impressive THD+N rating of just 0.0015% into a 32 ohm load, ensuring clear and undistorted audio output. Combined with a wide frequency response and excellent signal-to-noise ratio, Allegro delivers clear, detailed and uncolored sound.
Power
With powerful output characteristics (70 mW at 32 ohms for the 3.5mm output and 155 mW at 32 ohms for the 4.4mm output), Allegro can effectively drive a wide range of headphones, from the most sensitive in-ear headphones to the more power-hungry over-ear models.
