The recent success of the 75th Anniversary JBL Gear line has given birth to the new “JBL Classics” line. This powerful integrated amplifier features vintage 60s and 70s styling, with wood side panels and a matte silver finish. In addition, the SA550 combines analog technology with modern digital processing to satisfy your musical whims in retro or futuristic style.
The Class G amplifier delivers ultra-clean Class A sound at low levels and uses efficient “rail switching” technology to deliver higher power with low distortion when needed to achieve higher dynamic peaks. This technology has been praised by our customers for its pure musicality. With the built-in high-performance ESS Sabre DAC, your digital sources receive the highest quality.
To enjoy the pure sound of the JBL SA550, you need great speakers. This is where the JBL Classic speakers come in. They are a great match for the SA550, not only sonically, but also visually, thanks to the walnut finish on the amplifier and speakers. You get enough power to drive most speakers, but there is a stereo amp output, allowing you to install a more powerful amp in the future.
With three digital and four analogue inputs, including an audio connection for turntables, the JBL SA550 can handle a wide range of sources. It features built-in Bluetooth with high-resolution aptX™ adaptive technology for streaming music via online services from compatible devices. For reliable Wi-Fi streaming, you can connect a matching JBL MP350 Classic network music player. Or use one of the digital connections to connect a matching JBL CD player or TV.
