AUNE X8 XVIII – BT Magic DAC from Aune is a special edition DAC released to celebrate the brand’s 18th anniversary. This model brings back the idea of a replaceable AOP, as well as seven available filters, while adding a TRS pre-amplified balanced output. In addition, this version of BT also has Bluetooth connectivity with support for aptX HD and LDAC high-definition transmission codecs.
FPGA
X8 XVIII allows you to decode high-resolution audio streams up to PCM 32bit 768kHz and DSD512. Using an FPGA specifically programmed by Aune, the X8 XVIII delivers accurate, dynamic and detailed audio reproduction.
Balanced TRS Output
In addition to USB, coaxial and optical inputs, as well as RCA pre and line outputs, the X8 XVIII now features a balanced, pre-amplified 6.35mm TRS output.
Replaceable AOP
Aune X8 XVIII uses the concept of a replaceable AOP. This one is actually mounted on a DIP8 pole and is accessible underneath the device. You just need to replace it with a different model to tailor the DAC’s audio reproduction to suit your audio system and your listening experience.
Seven available filters
The Aune X8 XVIII has seven filters. Like replaceable AOPs, they allow you to customize the device’s audio signature to suit your desires.
