German audio brand T+A elektroakustik has rolled out an update to its Solitaire T headphone series, introducing the Solitaire T Cognac White model to take the place of the Solitaire T White. The changes are pretty subtle; instead of a single color, you now get a stylish two-tone look featuring “rich cognac-brown tones” paired with crisp white.
They’ve also given the headband and ear pads a bit of a makeover. According to T+A, these tweaks are all about boosting the product’s visual charm while keeping its technical excellence intact. And let’s not forget the new carrying case, which is made from genuine leather in that same classy cognac hue.

T+A COO Conradin Amft summed up the challenge for the developers: “When we began working on the Solitaire T Cognac White, our key question was: how can we enhance the aesthetic appeal of these innovative headphones without compromising their technical perfection?”
The model hasn’t really changed much in terms of sound. The Solitaire T Cognac White still features the same 42 mm drivers with a unique cellulose diaphragm, all set up in an “optimized bass system.” T+A claims this setup delivers “airy highs, detailed midrange, and precise bass,” which is what the Solitaire T sound is all about.
You can use these headphones in both active and passive modes, and their closed design does a great job of blocking out outside noise. Plus, T+A’s active noise cancellation takes it a step further by shutting out unwanted sounds. They come with a Qualcomm QCC 5127 chip and an Esstech ES9218 Sabre DAC, and they’re expected to hit the market in February.
In the US, the price for the T+A Solitaire T Cognac White headphones will be $1,850.
