The FiiO K13 R2R is a newly released desktop DAC and headphone amplifier that features a fully balanced architecture utilizing proprietary 24-bit R2R resistor matrices.
This device merges the functionalities of the traditional NOS/OS mode, Bluetooth compatibility with the LDAC codec, a robust balanced output, and sophisticated settings. The end-to-end balanced circuit—from the DAC to the amplifier—ensures minimal distortion and sound stability, while the integrated 10-band PEQ enables flexible adjustments tailored to personal preferences.

The device operates on four channels of resistor arrays, with 48 thin-film resistors per channel, totaling 192 elements with a selection accuracy of up to 0.1%. This configuration results in a genuinely discrete R2R DAC, designed for clean and natural signal transmission. For user convenience, control is available through the FiiO Control application or web interface, in addition to a proprietary LCD display that provides constant indication.

The power unit features a dual power supply—an internal shielded module along with the option to connect an external DC unit. It employs low-noise stabilizers, tantalum, and audiophile-grade ELNA RA3 capacitors, ensuring stability and a sufficient power reserve. The output power reaches 2400 mW per channel at a 32-ohm load, enabling effective operation with both high-impedance headphones and sensitive in-ear models.
