The SMSL DA-8s is a compact and affordable yet high-performance balanced Class D amplifier, delivering a comfortable output power of 2x80W into 4Ω with a high efficiency of over 92%. These impressive capabilities are provided by the Infineon MA12070 amplifier module, which provides superior audio performance while limiting power consumption.
Volume control is assigned to the NJW1194 chip, which provides precise volume control without introducing distortion. The SDB mode of the device provides the ability to adjust the levels of low and high frequencies in the range from -10 dB to +10 dB.
On the connection side, the DA-8s is simple and efficient. The rear panel of the amplifier contains a balanced XLR input and an unbalanced RCA input, as well as speaker output terminals. A small feature – the SMSL amplifier is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 interface with aptX support, which makes it possible to play music directly from a smartphone or tablet.
The entire circuitry of the DA-8s is meticulously designed, using quality components such as Siemens coupling capacitors or Nichicon filter capacitors.
