The device belongs to the popular AVM30 series, which uses technologies from older series, including High End. The 20mm acrylic platter is made in the style of all AVM Audio turntables and is equipped with a backlight, which is turned on by a button hidden under the frame.
The highlight of the AVM Audio Rotation R 30.3 player is the tonearm, which is exactly the same as the R 2.3 player. AVM’s proprietary 9″ tonearm is made from highly polished aluminum components. The tonearm supports all cartridge systems known on the world market. The kit comes with an Ortofon 2M Bronze MM cartridge. The stable, ultra-light tonearm is based on a durable, advanced aluminum tube. Together with a stable and precise tonearm bearing, it provides the basis for powerful sound. The counterweight with silicone damping effectively prevents the reflection of microvibrations.
Common to all Rotation turntable models are frames made of heavy composite material (of varying thicknesses). These frames are made of HDF (Dense Fiberboard) with cement powder, glued together with hand-sanded anodized aluminum parts and thus further strengthened. The use of these materials creates a vibration-absorbing sandwich structure that provides an almost completely resonance-free, solid base for the internally illuminated matte acrylic platter. Precision inverted bearings are additional parts that are mainly responsible for the amazingly smooth ride of the AVM Audio Rotation R 30.3.
