YG Acoustics will bring the third version of its Reference line speakers to Munich – already on May 18, visitors to the High End exhibition will be able to at least see these speakers in full. So far, the company’s website and social networks have published the only photo that, perhaps, intrigues, but does not inform.
There isn’t much textual information about the YG Acoustics Reference 3 speakers either. A wide range of new technologies and innovations based on new theoretical models are mentioned. Apparently, the developers used computer modeling based on a multi-domain approach. However, “thousands of hours of listening” are also mentioned.
The Reference 3 ended up with mesh-diaphragm tweeters and advanced aerospace alloy enclosures with computationally optimized waveguides. Much is inherited from BilletDome reference tweeters. Third-generation supercoherent (in the sense of non-phase-shifting) crossovers are also mentioned. The circuits used custom branded metal foil capacitors. The speaker cabinets use limited layer damping.
“We are thrilled to announce the Reference 3 and showcase our latest innovations at the Munich High End,” said YG Acoustics CEO Dr. Matthew Webster. “We had the pleasure of listening to the prototypes throughout the development process, and we can’t wait to share them with the media and our customers. Every Reference 3 model offers the clearest window into musical performance.”
The debut of the YG Acoustics Reference 3 speakers will take place on May 18, but they will only appear on sale at the end of this year. Prices of new products are also not yet known.
