The Triangle Borea Active BR02 Connect is equipped with an HDMI ARC port, which allows you to use it as an external audio system for your TV and control the speakers from your TV remote thanks to CEC support. In addition, the monitors are now equipped with a USB-B port, allowing you to connect them to a computer “digitally”, which makes these speakers a natural addition to your workstation or laptop. Other connectivity options remain the same, including a built-in phono preamplifier for vinyl lovers.
The wireless capabilities of the Triangle Borea Active BR02 Connect include a Bluetooth 5.0 adapter with aptX HD Low Latency, supporting audio streaming at up to 24-bit/48 kHz. There are also coaxial and optical digital inputs, as well as an analog RCA output for connecting an active subwoofer.
The acoustics are built on the principle of a “master + slave” pair, that is, all the electronics are mounted in one speaker. This gives the advantage of simpler placement and connection – the inputs for signal sources are also on one speaker. To connect a second speaker to it, a high-quality 3-meter cable is included in the kit. Triangle Borea Active BR02 Connect have a two-way configuration and are equipped with a 125 mm woofer and a soft dome tweeter. The latter has a patented EFS acoustic design, which increases the degree of sound detail and its directionality, while reducing distortion. The model has amplifiers with a power of 50 W per channel, which provides rich sound when working in medium-sized rooms.
The Triangle Borea Active BR02 Connect is controlled by a small but very well-designed remote control. It provides access to all functions of the speaker system, including tone adjustments for low and high frequencies, as well as activation of the loudness compensation mode (frequency correction of the sound, necessary when listening to music at low volume). You can also use the remote control to control music playback on a connected mobile device.
