McLaren and Klipsch are expanding their partnership with the limited edition MCL-905 McLaren Edition loudspeakers in McLaren racing team colors. The collaboration between the two legendary brands began with the release of the limited edition Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC McLaren Edition TWS headphones . Later Klipsch The Fives McLaren Edition active monitors and more recently the Klipsch Groove McLaren Edition portable BT speaker were introduced . And now the turn has come to full-size acoustics of the highest class.
The Klipsch MCL-905 McLaren Edition two-way loudspeakers are equipped with a K-691 compression tweeter with a 3-inch titanium dome, working in a proprietary Tractrix horn, providing a large and balanced soundstage.
The low-frequency range is served by two 15-inch K45 drivers with composite cones. The manufacturer declares the lower cut-off frequency at 32 Hz. The speakers come with removable protective metal mesh grills.
McLaren’s sporty motives are reflected not only in the brand’s orange (papaya) color of the racing team, used in the finishing of individual elements of the acoustic systems. For the Klipsch MCL-905 McLaren Edition, the bracket for the high-frequency module has been redesigned – in its design the tail wings and spoilers of the McLaren F1 cars are guessed.
Only 25 pairs of the limited edition Klipsch MCL-905 McLaren Edition will be produced and will be available for a suggested retail price of $7,999 .
