Franco Serblin has unveiled an exceptionally innovative acoustic system named Lignea, notable primarily for its distinctive design that sets it apart from conventional offerings in the market.
At first glance, the Lignea system might be classified as bookshelf speakers due to their compact design. However, they diverge from traditional bookshelf models by integrating stands into their structure, eliminating the need for separate stands and thus blurring the lines between bookshelf and floorstanding categories. Despite their integrated design, they maintain a remarkably small volume of just 4 liters, presenting an interesting hybrid that could be described as floorstanding acoustics with an exceptionally compact footprint.
The craftsmanship of the Lignea speakers is particularly striking. Carved from a single piece of wood, their enclosures boast a seamless construction without any joints or seams, enhancing both their aesthetic appeal and acoustic integrity. Nestled within these meticulously crafted wooden bodies are a 110mm mid/bass driver and a 27mm tweeter, engineered to deliver a rich and detailed sound experience.
