German audio manufacturer ELAC presents a new model of active bookshelf speakers Debut ConneX. They support Bluetooth connectivity, are equipped with an HDMI-ARC port and have a built-in phono stage, which allows you to save on the purchase of additional equipment.
ELAC Debut ConneX speaker systems use one active and one passive speaker connected to each other. The column can be specified to operate as a left or right channel. The presence of a built-in phono stage allows you to connect speakers to vinyl players without additional equipment.
The active speaker contains built-in amplifiers for itself and the passive speaker, so there is no need to connect to an external amplifier. In addition, the active speaker includes all connections to physical sources and Bluetooth, from where the signal is sent to the passive (secondary) speaker. There is also a dedicated subwoofer output, allowing you to connect an external powered subwoofer.
The presence of an HDMI-ARC port allows you to transmit sound from the TV to speakers via a special cable. Therefore, you can control the speaker volume directly using the TV remote control. At the same time, the ELAC Debut ConneX comes with an independent remote control.
Using a USB port, the acoustics can be connected to a computer without the need to install any drivers. Support for high-resolution audio up to 24 bit / 96 kHz is declared. For wireless connection via Bluetooth, there is support for the aptX audio codec, which improves the quality of the music played.
