Canton was founded in 1972 in Germany by four enthusiasts for whom the creation of Hi-Fi loudspeaker systems became the most important goal in their lives.
The company’s innovative ideas and the highest quality products are recognized throughout the world. Canton speakers have gained immense popularity as they combine amazing performance and sophisticated design.

Thanks to passion for music, professionalism and excellent knowledge of market needs, Canton very quickly took a place at the forefront of European acoustics manufacturers. Much of the production of the company, which began its rise to the top of the hi-fi market from an office located in a former school building and conducted research work in a living room, is now concentrated in Germany. Today, Canton has state-of-the-art laboratories, is proud of its revolutionary developments and enjoys unquestioned authority among true audiophiles.

The German Canton has released the DM5 soundbar. Unlike other devices in the DM series, the new product has slightly reduced dimensions. The soundbar is designed to fit between the cabinet and the TV screen. The device can also be hung on the wall.

To ease the user’s hassle with the correct placement of the soundbar in space, Canton has added three equalizer modes – they will help the device produce the highest quality and most powerful sound, regardless of location. The source for it can be not only a TV, but also a device connected via Bluetooth (DM5 supports the aptX codec). Of the connectors, it is equipped with optical, coaxial and analog input.

The soundbar power is 120 W, the device operates in 2.1-channel mode. Along with the equalizer, Canton has introduced Voice modes, which improves dialogue processing, and Hotel modes, which allows the user to set the maximum volume level. You can control the soundbar from the TV remote control.

The new Canton DM 5 model is positioned as the most compact soundbar in the DM series. Available in black and silver lacquered finishes, the Canton DM 5 can be placed in front of the TV, in a cabinet, or hung on the wall. Canton DM 5 weighs only three kilograms.

The Canton DM 5 mini soundbar is good not only for movies, but also for playing music, watching news programs and daytime TV programs. Compared to a TV, it makes the sound deeper and richer, immersing the viewer in the atmosphere of any action taking place on the screen.

The bass and treble levels don’t require any special adjustments (Canton’s standard balance is quite good), but we recommend experimenting with the “Surround” and “Stereo” modes. The latter makes the sound tighter and more focused, while the former increases the openness and spaciousness of the soundstage without reducing midrange precision.

If you’re looking for a soundbar that has a stylish look and great sound, then you should definitely check out the Canton DM 5 mini soundbar. It’s easy to use, looks better than the competition, and delivers best-in-class performance. Thanks to the reduction in price relative to the previous model, it becomes even more interesting. Its exciting sound will delight you for a long time.
