Burmester is showing the pre-production model of its BX100 loudspeaker as a new addition to the home audio sector at the High End 2024 in Munich.

The BX100 loudspeaker represents a new stage of development for Burmester, which aims to bring together the tried and tested with a look into the future. According to the manufacturer, the 4-way speaker has a low-vibration housing and free-standing Air Motion Transformer (AMT), which makes the music not only audible but also noticeable. According to the manufacturer, the sound remains low in distortion even at high levels and is intended to reproduce voices and instruments authentically and lifelike with a precise, high-resolution mid- and high-frequency range. The woofers of the new model are arranged on the sides.

Positioned between the B-Series and the BC-Series in the Burmester portfolio, the BX100 speaker also features a new design concept that focuses on adaptability and personalization. With interchangeable side panels and fabric coverings available in a variety of colors, the BX100 allows for customization to suit personal style and room environment. In addition to the standard colors, there are also some special paint finishes to choose from. The start of production is planned for autumn / winter 2024.

Bespoke models designed by artists

Also on show at High End are models from the Bespoke series, with which Burmester offers personalization and individual options for designing your own loudspeaker. As an example, the company exhibited four B38 floorstanding loudspeakers at the MOC Event Center in Munich, which were creatively designed by four different artists using the loudspeaker housings as canvases.
