UK-based Ruark Audio is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. To mark this milestone, the company is releasing a limited edition of Ruark's R410, a combination of artisanal flair with modern streaming features and a nostalgic nod to four decades of British audio design. The edition is limited to 500 units worldwide.
Ruark Audio R410 Anniversary Edition
Ruark Audio is celebrating its fortieth anniversary by, in its own words, creating something beautiful, tangible, and unmistakably high-quality. The R410 Anniversary Edition is the new, limited-edition all-in-one music system from the Southend-on-Sea company. With only 500 units worldwide, the system is specially designed for collectors and design-conscious listeners.

The anniversary edition of the R410 builds upon Ruark's tradition of meticulous construction quality. The cabinet is finished in white oak, accented with ebonized inlays and a matching handmade grille. It is a modern interpretation of mid-century design, an object that feels equally at home in a stylishly furnished living room as in an audiophile's listening room.

Ruark Audio's signature RotoDial control element sits proudly atop, while a commemorative badge on the side marks the milestone. From the CD boom of the late 1980s to the current world centered on streaming, Ruark has witnessed the evolution of listening habits firsthand. The R410 Anniversary Edition is designed to connect those generations.

A powerful built-in processor supports common streaming services, including Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Apple AirPlay 2, and Chromecast, with a sleek interface mirrored on a new, vertically oriented, high-resolution screen. The layout is deliberately inspired by smartphone music apps, making navigation feel instantly familiar.
Ruark is also releasing a matching limited edition of the R-CD100 with an ebonized casing for those who cherish and use their CD collection.

Housed within the handcrafted enclosure is a fully active speaker system designed for clarity and powerful bass response. Ruark's new long-throw NS+ bass-mid drivers deliver controlled low tones and a natural midrange, while specially developed 20-millimeter diameter tweeters, derived from the award-winning MR1 Mk3, reproduce high frequencies in detail and with spatial depth.
Each bass-midrange driver has its own separate two-channel amplifier, keeping signal paths short and distortion low. DA conversion is performed by Burr-Brown DAC chips; add modern audio processing, and Ruark claims a “magical leap forward in performance” that brings listeners closer to the music.
Founder Alan O'Rourke sums it up simply, in his own words: “the R410 Anniversary Edition combines everything that is important to us: extraordinary sound, thoughtful design, and high-quality materials.”
The R410 Anniversary Edition is now available for just under $1,600.
