Schiit Aegir 2: Updated stereo power amplifier

AEGIR 2

The Aegir 2 stereo power  amplifier, a second-generation model, has been enhanced with a unique “mixed” feedback topology that combines current and voltage feedback. This upgrade, along with the innovative Continuity output stage circuit, results in significant improvements compared to its first-generation predecessor. These enhancements include higher output power, reduced heat emission, and decreased noise levels.

The Aegir 2 also features a robust linear power supply with a 600 VA power transformer, a rectifier with 16 Schottky diodes, and five stabilizers (including two discrete stabilizers). With an output of 30 W at 8 Ohms or 50 W at 4 Ohms, the amplifier maintains a noise level below -122 dB, showcasing a 10-15 dB improvement over the previous model. Moreover, the Aegir 2 has notably decreased standby power consumption, drawing only 1-2 W. Manufactured and designed in California, USA, this unit offers exceptional quality.
