Rotel celebrated its sixtieth year in hi-fi with the launch of its Diamond series of components, which now includes the RA-6000 integrated amplifier and DT-6000 transport DAC.

The RA-6000 is capable of delivering 350 watts per channel into 4 ohms and up to 200 watts per channel of “continuous power” into 8 ohms in Class A/B. The amplifier is complemented by a “wireless streaming” module and has Roon Tested status for the USB input. In addition, the RA-6000 features a Bluetooth input with apt-X HD support and an internal DAC with support for Hi-Res and MQA via three TOSLINK, 3 coaxial and USB inputs.

The analog part of the RA-6000 is represented by three analog RCA inputs, one balanced input, an MM phono stage, pre-amplifier and subwoofer outputs. Two sets of speaker terminals allow the use of two sound zones. The power supply and circuitry of the new Diamond Series amplifier are reported to have received a large share of leaked technology and components from both high-end Michi models and more recent MKII products.

The DT-6000 “DAC Transport” is a CD player with unbalanced analogue RCA and balanced XLR outputs, accessible via three digital inputs on the rear panel: coaxial, TOSLINK and USB. It also supports MQA. The internal DAC circuit is based on the ESS Labs ES9028PRO.

According to the manufacturer: “The DT-6000 sensor is powered by a proprietary shielded toroidal transformer with high-efficiency foil slot smoothing capacitors that reduce spurious emissions and provide independent, isolated, low-noise power to all critical circuits, further reducing noise and distortion.” .
