In conjunction with the Model 10 integrated amplifier, Marantz introduces two players as part of its new 10 Series Collection: the SACD 10 Reference, which features mechanical components, and the LINK 10n Reference, which utilizes solid-state technology. This lineup includes a CD/SACD player and a HEOS streaming device.
The SACD 10 is specifically engineered to complement the Model 10 integrated amplifier, incorporating the latest CD/SACD spinning and reading technologies developed by Marantz, which no longer provides drives to other manufacturers. Within its analog stage, the player is equipped with Marantz’s latest generation of HDAMs, which consist of discrete circuits. Beyond disc playback, the device offers USB connectivity for file playback and USB B functionality for use as a USB DAC. Additionally, it features traditional digital inputs, allowing the player to function as a DAC. All circuits are powered by a robust toroidal transformer, and the chassis is meticulously designed to ensure optimal damping with a high vibration damping index.
The front panel is crafted from aluminum and includes adjustable peripheral LED lighting, which can be set to 20 different levels to harmonize with the amplifier’s lighting. Furthermore, the front panel features a headphone jack supported by a high-quality headphone amplifier, along with XLR and RCA analog outputs.
The Marantz SACD 10 is anticipated to launch in November 2024, priced at $11,000, and will be available in either black or champagne finishes.
