HiFiMan is well-known for its headphones, but the company also manufactures headphone amplifiers. The Serenade Wireless is a Class A headphone amplifier that provides both wireless connectivity and the ability to connect via a UTP cable to a network, facilitating lossless music playback. The front panel is equipped with three different headphone outputs, ensuring compatibility with nearly all dynamic headphones.
HiFiMan has launched the Serenade Wireless desktop DAC and headphone amplifier, a compact yet high-performance Class A amplifier. This model features HiFiMan’s patented Hymalaya Pro Ladder DAC, which is an enhanced version of the original Hymalaya DAC introduced in 2021.
HiFiMan’s Himalaya Pro R2R DAC features an advanced FPGA algorithm and precision resistors with a tolerance of 0.01%, resulting in performance that outshines the standard PCM1704 in all aspects, achieving a Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of -6dB at 0.0012%. Its capabilities are comparable to those of two PCM1704K DAC chips. With integrated WiFi connectivity and a built-in WiFi card, it provides significantly reduced latency compared to conventional Bluetooth, ensuring compatibility with major mobile devices and PC operating systems. Additionally, the Serenade Wireless includes an RJ-45 LAN port.
The amplifier circuit employs a Class A design, enhanced by a meticulously calibrated discrete transistor amplifier circuit featuring numerous precisely matched power transistors, which deliver both high-frequency clarity and warm mid to low frequencies. A robust 50 Watt toroidal transformer, constructed with a high-quality full bandwidth iron core, is paired with a substantial filter capacitor of nearly 30,000 uF and a sophisticated multi-stage, multi-channel, low noise, high-speed voltage regulator circuit, guaranteeing a clean and efficient power supply.
The Serenade Wireless incorporates a renowned FET operational amplifier along with a discrete component low-pass filter analog circuit, resulting in sound reproduction that is both detailed and characterized by highly accurate, low-noise test indicators. It offers a wide range of digital input options and supports various formats, all adhering to high-quality standards. The device boasts channel separation exceeding 120 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 110 dB (0 dBFS / 1 kHz).
This innovative device is tailored for personal audio enthusiasts and music lovers who seek exceptional flexibility and performance. With dimensions of just 300 x 255 x 50 millimeters and a weight of 3.9 kilograms, the Serenade Wireless is packed with features and listening options that are impressive for its compact form factor. The outputs include four-pin XLR, as well as 6.35 and 4.4 millimeter jack connectors located on the front panel, while stereo XLR and RCA outputs are available on the rear panel.
The HiFiMan Serenade Wireless will soon be available for purchase.
