HIFIMAN Prelude is an innovative balanced Class A headphone amplifier that features a pre-amplification capability, delivering 10 W of power at a 32 Ω load. This amplifier utilizes MOSFET transistors, enabling the production of a natural sound quality.
The Prelude features a completely discrete Class A balanced circuit. To accommodate unbalanced input signals, it includes a converter that transforms the RCA signal into a balanced format, effectively reducing noise and interference. This design ensures a clear and natural sound even at high power levels.
For accurate channel balance control, the unit employs a four-section ALPS potentiometer, recognized for its dependability and precision. This enables adjustments to the amplifier without introducing distortion or altering the original audio quality.
The device is powered by a low-noise toroidal transformer, specifically engineered for this model. It delivers a consistent and clean energy supply across all amplifier levels. The chassis is constructed from solid aluminum, which aids in isolating the device from resonances and unwanted vibrations that could compromise sound quality.
