Aune has started selling a new portable digital-to-analog converter, Yuki , which also doubles as a headphone amplifier.
The DAC unit contains two CS43198 chips from Cirrus Logic , it can handle 32-bit/768 kHz PCM signals and native DSD256 stream. The printed circuit board is made using ceramics and has a two-layer structure – one side is intended for digital circuits, the other for analog.
The device body is made of aluminum alloy and equipped with a large glass window through which you can see the main part of the board. There are two outputs for connecting headphones – unbalanced 3.5 mm and balanced 4.4 mm. The maximum output power is 90 mW with single-ended and 160 mW with balanced connection. The design provides for switching the input to UAC1.0 mode to ensure compatibility with the Nintendo Switch game console .
