Soranik MEMS-2: in-ear monitors with MEMS drivers from USound

Soranik MEMS-2

Vietnamese audio company Soranik has released the world’s first in-ear monitors based on a pair of MEMS solid-state drivers . The Soranik MEMS-2 headphones use a 6-mm MEMS USound Conamara supertweeter, which, with a low level of distortion, is capable of operating at frequencies up to 80 kHz. MEMS Montara is responsible for the full audio range, with a flat frequency response of 20 Hz-20 kHz and a phase deviation of only +/-1. A crossover was not needed in this case.

“We believe MEMS will lead the portable audio market thanks to exclusive technology developed by leading companies such as USound. After extensive testing, we are very pleased with the sound quality of the USound Conamara,” said a Soranik spokesperson.

xMEMS drivers are very compact – just what you need for IEMs. This is combined with high sound quality. The Soranik MEMS-2 IEM headphones received 3D printed housings with a 2-pin 0.78 mm connector. The developers recommend connecting the new product to the iFi Audio Diablo X – this DAC/amplifier was designed specifically for headphones with solid-state MEMS drivers.
