The Sennheiser MOMENTUM series is certainly one of the most important product lines of Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH, specializing in headphones and soundbars under the Sennheiser brand. So it’s clear that the company is putting the presentation of the latest headphones in the series at the center of its presentation at CES 2024 in Las Vegas.
According to Sonova Consumer Hearing GmbH, the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 model differs from its predecessor with more than a dozen improvements, offering customers even better sound quality.

Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 sound platform as a basis
The new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is based on the so-called Qualcomm S5 Gen 2 sound platform from specialist Qualcomm Inc. This SoC (Silicon-on-a-chip) is in turn based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform and thus combines a number of important features such as data transmission using the latest Bluetooth module and various DSP algorithms . Accordingly, the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 naturally also relies on Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound Technology, which is part of this platform.
From a purely technical point of view, the main component of the new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 is the Qualcomm QCC5181 WLCSP, which is designed as a 32-bit programmable processor and also features a Qualcomm Kalimba programmable DSP.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4

Bluetooth 5.4
In terms of signal transmission, it uses Bluetooth 5.4, including LE Audio and Auracast Broadcast Audio. The signal is transmitted using SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless or aptX Audio codecs.

Built-in Adaptive Noise Canceling
It should also be emphasized that active, adaptive noise cancellation is also offered here via Qualcomm Active Noise Cancellation Technology, which is part of the platform.

Better voice quality for phone calls with Qualcomm aptX Voice
This includes Qualcomm aptX Voice Technology, which uses three microphones with Qualcomm cVc echo cancellation and noise cancellation to deliver the best voice quality for phone calls.
Finally, the platform also offers compatibility with Amazon Voice Services and Google Assistant, and even benefits mobile device connectivity by supporting Microsoft Swift Pair and Google Fast Pair.

Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4

Longer battery life
Thanks to the updated battery system, Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 features optimized battery life – up to 7.5 hours of continuous music listening. Naturally, the package includes a case that functions as a power bank. It can be charged using either Qi wireless charging or USB-C, the latter of which also offers fast charging, meaning you can be back enjoying hours of music in just a few minutes.

The new Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 will appear in specialty stores in February 2024 at a recommended retail price of $300, the manufacturer reports. The new headphones will be available in Black Copper, Metallic Silver and Graphite colors.
