HIFIMAN has released new dynamic closed-back headphones with a specially designed lightweight ear pad – HIFIMAN HE-R9 .
The new HIFIMAN HE-R9 features high sensitivity, which HIFIMAN says is achieved by using rare earth magnets and a classic diaphragm topology for detailed high frequency reproduction up to 35 Hz. Nano-sized nanoparticles are applied to the diaphragm in various patterns and layers during its manufacturing process.
Frequency response is measured in the range 15 Hz – 35 kHz. The sensitivity is 100 dB and the impedance is 32 ohms.
“We originally introduced the Topology Diaphragm in a dynamic closed-back design last year in our reference R10D dynamic driver headphones,” said Dr. Fang Bian, founder and CEO of HIFIMAN Electronics. “This latest version uses a similar design in headphones that are lower in price but have nearly comparable sound performance to their bigger brother.”
HIFIMAN HE-R9 are designed for long listening sessions. The headband uses high-quality memory foam for maximum comfort and bounce. The headband frame is made of steel, which is lightweight and durable. The exterior uses genuine leather, and the newly designed ear pads are large and lightweight.
