British audio brand Roksan, part of Monitor Audio Group, has launched the Caspian Series 4G, consisting of the Caspian Integrated Amplifier and Caspian Streaming Amplifier. Both devices are designed according to the manufacturer according to Monitor Audio Group’s Transparent Design Philosophy. According to the manufacturer, this results in exemplary high-resolution audio performance, but also intuitive user interfaces and an understated, elegant industrial design for the time. Shipping will begin later this month.
The Caspian Streaming Amplifier is designed with the modern user in mind. The streaming platform comes from Bluesound, so it’s the renowned BluOS for multi-room convenience and high-resolution support. While the clever implementation of Euphoria, Caspian’s power amplification architecture, revolutionary Rapture DAC technology, and an advanced preamp and phono stage all work together to ensure pristine sound, no matter what source a user prefers.

Both models in the Caspian Series are hand-built at Monitor Audio Group’s headquarters in Rayleigh, Essex, UK. The Caspian Series 4G builds on the foundations laid by the Roksan Attessa product line, but dramatically expands on the performance, intuitive user experience, and physical design presence. The aesthetic identity remains sleek, clean, and modern, while clever design elements like the custom-extruded heatsinks, internal antennae, and chamfered machined edges are pure Roksan.

Roksan Rapture DAC
The Caspian Series 4G uses Roksan’s powerful Rapture DAC technology. This is a differential current-conveyor topology, which according to the designers allows more information to be extracted for the best possible analog reproduction. This topology has several measurable advantages over the traditional approach of digital-to-analog reconstruction using op-amp ICs. The current-conveyor has superior gain-bandwidth characteristics, which are essential for faithful high-resolution audio reproduction. Furthermore, despite being discrete (there is no off-the-shelf solution), it relies on a single circuit element for gain matching. As such, it can be used effectively in a discrete-component-level solution.
Euphoria Amplification
Roksan has named its amplifier topology Eurphoria Amplification. This is an intelligent Class AB amplifier architecture with individual power supplies for the current and voltage amplifiers, this reduced interaction provides purer, more detailed and cleaner sound.
Roksan Caspian: Volume control and DSP enigne
Caspian Series 4G’s innovative volume control incorporates the best of both digital and analogue worlds. A hybrid digital-analogue volume control algorithm uses powerful digital signal processing to facilitate tone adjustments and system matching.
Accessible via the MaestroUnite app, the Caspian Series 4G’s intelligent DSP engine optimises the user’s listening experience through the application of four key technologies: Intelligent Tone, Intelligent Boundary, Intelligent Speaker and Intelligent Phono. In combination, these technologies allow users to fine-tune their listening experience to their environment for the best possible results.
The Caspian Series 4G’s new high-contrast monochrome OLED display frames the intuitive single-point user interface more clearly and larger than ever before. Customizable input icons allow for easy source selection, while a new progress indicator displays functions such as track length.
Caspian Series 4G uses a new analogue preamplifier section, which should ensure that the signal remains as clean as possible. A carefully configured and fully balanced design, it delivers the highest possible levels of noise rejection.
The Caspian Series 4G phono stage enables extremely accurate vinyl playback. It features a dedicated input for MM cartridges and the RIAA filter is calibrated to a tolerance of 0.5 dB, ensuring the purest vinyl experience possible.
Roksan Caspian: Streaming According to BluOS
Roksan is powered by Bluesound’s BluOS, giving users access to unlimited music from the world’s most popular streaming services and the ability to wirelessly stream music at lightning-fast speeds with no loss in sound quality. Users can stream up to 64 zones of high-resolution audio, up to 24-bit, 192kHz. Using BluOS also means effortless browsing and access to locally stored music collections and streaming services.
Roksan MaestroUnite app
Roksan’s Caspian Series 4G uses Monitor Audio Group’s in-house developed MaestroUnite app. The intuitive app offers easy setup options and access to advanced features such as input configuration, headphone sensitivity, analog input gain, balance, low power standby and the enhanced capabilities of the Roksan DSP Engine for tailoring a system to a specific environment.
