The Luxman LX-380 represents a new era in the development of Luxman’s “golden 38” Classic series of tube integrated amplifiers. Luxman LX-380 is the twelfth generation of tube integrated products from Luxman. The amplifier uses a classic push-pull circuit topology. The driver section of the Luxman LX-380 features three ECC82 tubes. The output section is equipped with a quartet of powerful 6L6GC beam tetrodes, providing natural and impressive musicality of the sound, and carefully designed amplification circuitry allows them to realize their full potential. The amplifier is capable of developing a power of 18 W per channel into a load of 8 ohms. The Luxman LX-380 has a built-in phono stage for MC and MM cartridges, as well as an infrasonic filter to eliminate low-frequency rumble.
The Luxman LX-380 model is housed in a wooden case with a front panel made of aluminum. This classic design has a special retro charm. The facade of the device is literally dotted with regulators and toggle switches, among which there is a knob for the high-precision proprietary attenuator LECUA (Luxman Electric Controlled Ultimate Attenuator) with electronic control, which ensures precise step-by-step adjustment of the volume level, excellent sound dynamics and minimal noise. There is also a standard headphone jack on the facade. It is possible to accurately adjust tones, balance and activate the tone compensation function (Loudness).
The amplifier has a full set of line inputs and MM/MC phono preamplifier connectors. You can connect a separate end to the Luxman LX-380 amplifier thanks to the presence of Pre Out, and the Main In input provides direct access to its output amplifier stage. The model received four pairs of high-quality screw terminals, which is convenient for organizing two-cable connection of speaker systems. You can control the device using a flat, neat aluminum remote control, which is included in the kit.
The Luxman LX-380 amplifier, harmoniously combining advanced technologies with time-tested know-how, will take its rightful place in a high-end audiophile system.
