The KT170 from Tung-Sol is an octal-base beam tetrode vacuum tube released in 2021. The KT170’s standout characteristic is its robust power and efficient power supply circuit, which offers a substantial energy reserve. This capability enables it to deliver up to 18 watts per channel, enhancing the experience of headphone listening. The Cayin Soul 170HA is a Class A amplifier that utilizes KT170 tubes. The design team meticulously crafted the amplification circuit to produce a sound that is both rich and detailed, a hallmark of single-ended amplifiers. Voltage amplification is handled by 6SN7 tubes, which ensure low noise levels and a balanced audio output across all frequencies.
