Master & Dynamic has launched a new version of their ME05 wired in-ear headphones

Master & Dynamic has reintroduced a design that dates back ten years. The ME05 wired in-ear headphones are based on this decade-old concept, now enhanced with Hi-Res Audio support. The new ME05 will soon be offered in a range of colors.

New York-based headphone manufacturer Master & Dynamic has announced the reintroduction of its popular wired ME05 in-ear headphones. Originally released in 2015, this updated version features the same premium materials, along with acoustic refinements and improved device compatibility. According to the manufacturer, the original design has stood the test of time, though there are also some improvements made in the new version. For example, the material of the driver diaphragm has been changed from titanium to biocellulose.

Aside from the new driver, there are other improvements. There’s now a USB-C adapter and an improved microphone for clearer phone calls, even on windy roads. The new custom eight-millimeter high-excursion biocellulose drivers are housed in a precision-machined brass acoustic enclosure.

Additional design changes should also result in increased comfort levels during long rides and a better overall seal in the ME05 wearer's ear canal.

The new 3.5mm to USB-C adapter supports resolutions up to 32-bit/384kHz, enabling portable Hi-Res Audio listening on all USB-C devices that support Hi-Res playback. Of course, the source material has to be up to par too. Listening to MP3s or music from Spotify won’t benefit from Hi-Res playback.

The ME05 Wired Earphones are made of solid brass and have a distinctive shape with ergonomic and elegant details, highlighted by laser engraving, hand-polished accents and intuitive controls. They come with two sizes of foam ear tips and five sizes of silicone ear tips. This makes it easier for consumers to find the right size and creates a better overall seal, which is very important for passive isolation.

It is said that delivery will start just before Christmas.
